Jack Fischl’s #My3Thanks; Gratitude Blog Carnival Kick Off
The Gratitude Blog Carnival starts today and continues through December 3 (also known as Giving Tuesday). Three of our staff writers graciously submitted the top three things they are thankful for in 2013. We hope their submissions will inspire you to share what you are thankful for this year.
The first of our writers is Jack Fischl, the co-founder of a social business, a masculinity columnist, and returned Peace Corps volunteer. The son of a diplomat, he grew up overseas and acquired an incurable wanderlust he says he has no intention of treating. He loves discussing, reading, and writing about social justice issues and is a self-proclaimed, unashamed optimist.
The Top Three Things Jack Is Thankful For in 2013:
"Sixteen states now allow gay marriage #LGBTAlly #My3Thanks"
"I am thankful to be comfortable with myself and my identity #My3Thanks"
"I am thankful that my rights as a citizen are respected when those of over 200,00 indigenous Panamanians (and many other indigenous around the world) are consistently trampled in the name of development. #My3Thanks"
Use the #My3Thanks Badge to submit your articles about what three things you are thankful for in 2013 and encourage others to share what they are grateful for this year. Submissions will be added to our Gratitude Roundup on December 3.
