Admissions RequirementsAdmissions RequirementsAdmissions Requirements

The USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work seeks to admit aspiring social change leaders who demonstrate a commitment to solving pervasive social problems to our online Doctorate of Social Work (DSW) program. Online applicants are held to the same high admissions standards as applicants to USC’s on-campus programs.

Prospective DSW students must hold a master’s degree. A minimum of five years of professional experience is preferred.

Application Requirements

To apply to the program, you must submit the following:

  • Updated resume that highlights your social work–related experience
  • Two writing prompts, each no more than three double-spaced pages in length
  • Official transcripts from each postsecondary, regionally accredited school you have attended
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • $90 application fee

We offer multiple start dates per year, and our admissions committee reviews applications on a rolling basis. Space in each cohort is limited. We recommend that you complete your application as soon as possible so you are able to enroll in your preferred semester.
