Admissions Requirements

The USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work offers its CSWE-accredited Master of Social Work (MSW) program in an online format. We seek aspiring social work leaders capable of succeeding in a top-ranked graduate program.1

If you hold a bachelor’s degree in a field other than social work, you may be eligible for our Traditional Program.

If you have earned a BSW from an accredited institution, you may be eligible for our Advanced Standing Program.

No GRE Required

Application Requirements

The online MSW program has the same admissions requirements as USC’s on-campus MSW program. A dedicated admissions counselor will be available to support you as you complete your application.

To apply to the program, you must submit the following:

  • $90 application fee
  • Updated resume
  • Official transcripts
  • Statement of purpose
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • TOEFL or IELTS score, if applicable
  • Transfer applicant materials, if applicable

We offer multiple start dates per year, and our admissions committee reviews applications on a rolling basis. Join our next class and start earning your social work master’s degree as soon as possible.
